Tragedy Strikes Meschutt Beach: Sport Fishing Boat Collision
A violent crash involving a sport fishing boat has left four individuals injured and is currently under investigation by Suffolk County Police and other authorities. The incident occurred at approximately 9:16 p.m. at Meschutt Beach, where eyewitnesses reported the vessel hitting the jetty with such force that it spun 180 degrees before running aground. The boat, which was reportedly steering from Great Peconic Bay toward the Shinnecock Canal, has raised concerns about maritime safety and regulatory compliance.
