Fox News Joins Federal Taskforce in New Jersey Anti-Gang Crackdown

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the United States Marshals Service have joined forces with New Jersey’s local law enforcement agencies in a month-long initiative known as Operation Apex Hammer. The operation, which began with a high-profile raid in Newark, aims to identify and apprehend gang members and violent offenders across the state. Fox News reports that the task force, led by U.S. Attorney Alina Habba, is focusing on targets with active felony warrants, including members of notorious gangs like Tren de Aragua, MS-13, and the Sex Money Murder-Bloods.

One of the key events in the operation involved a warrant execution in Newark, where U.S. Marshals targeted a suspected Tren de Aragua gang member alleged to have committed armed robberies on the New York City subway system. Despite the feds’ efforts to apprehend the suspect, the individual was not present during the raid, and instead, three undocumented migrants exited the home. The search for the Tren de Aragua suspect continues as the operation moves forward.

Habba, who was appointed by President Trump as the Interim U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, has emphasized that the operation is driven by a commitment to justice and not political considerations.
