Kendra Wilkinson Reflects on Missed Career Opportunities During Playboy Mansion Tenure

Kendra Wilkinson, a former Playboy model and now real estate agent, reflected on her time living at Hugh Hefner’s mansion, revealing that her biggest regret is not launching her real estate career earlier. During an interview with Fox News Digital, the 39-year-old TV personality and real estate agent shared her reflections on missed chances while residing at the iconic Hollywood estate from 2004 to 2009.

‘The only thing I can say I regret in my life is not starting my real estate career while I was living at the Playboy Mansion,’ Wilkinson admitted while on the red carpet at the Operation Smile 25th Los Angeles Smile Fiesta. She expressed that she was surrounded by celebrities and billionaires during her time at the mansion, yet she hadn’t pursued her real estate ambitions.

Wilkinson, after passing the California real estate exam in June 2020, was hired as a real estate agent at The Agency, a luxury real estate company. However, she eventually left to join Douglas Elliman. In November 2021, she debuted her reality series, ‘Kendra Sells Hollywood,’ following her transition into real estate. ‘Kendra Sells Hollywood’ ran for two seasons on Discovery+ and Max.

Wilkinson initially announced stepping away from her real estate career in May 2023 after a difficult day, but later clarified that she hadn’t actually quit and was back in the business. ‘I just had a really bad day,’ she said. ‘So I did announce that I’d be stepping away, but that was just a really bad day in my life and I should’ve never probably Instagrammed that I’m quitting, but I did on accident like an idiot, so I made a huge mistake.’ She emphasized her return to real estate and the many deals she’s working on.

Wilkinson also shared her recent struggles with her mental health, including being hospitalized in September 2023 for a panic attack. She described her condition as the lowest point of her life, feeling like she had no future. ‘I was in a state of panic. I didn’t know what was going on in my head and my body or why I was crying. I had hit rock bottom,’ she recalled. ‘I was dying of depression, I was hitting the end of my life, and I went into psychosis.’)

Wilkinson expressed gratitude for her medical team and therapy, which helped her overcome her trauma, both from her time at the Playboy Mansion and her 2019 divorce from her ex-husband, Hank Baskett. She also participated in the Operation Smile event, highlighting her support for the organization’s mission of providing free healthcare to children worldwide.
