Israeli Intelligence Warns of Further Airstrikes Against Iran Amid Ongoing Conflict

A senior Israeli intelligence official has informed Fox News that more strikes are planned against Iran as part of Operation Rising Lion, which is designed to counter the country’s expanding ballistic missile capabilities. The official explained that Iran is projected to accumulate 8,000 ballistic missiles within two years, which was a significant factor in Israel’s decision to initiate the operation. Currently, Israel estimates Iran has approximately 2,000 missiles in its arsenal. Speaking exclusively to Fox News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst, the official stated, ‘We cannot end this operation knowing that we will be in the same spot two years from now. Everything is going as planned. Actually, better than planned.’ The operation, which has already targeted Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs, has also been aimed at eliminating the Iranian existential threat against Israel. Forty Iranian air defense systems have been damaged or destroyed since the operation began. The official emphasized the operation’s progress, noting, ‘We have lots of surprises. Not just the ones we already did. We have more surprises coming up.’ During the initial strike, Israeli intelligence estimated that 30 commanders from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps air force were killed. The official called this a ‘historic achievement.’ Despite the operation’s success, the official warned of incoming Iranian missiles that could lead to casualties and destruction. However, the official expressed confidence that the bulk of the conflict with Iran could be resolved within days. ‘I think we can finish it in days… It’s a good thing that we have the U.S. by our side,’ the official stated. The official also confirmed that the U.S. is ‘fully coordinated’ with Israel, though declined to specify the extent of that coordination. ‘The way the U.S. is standing beside Israel is unprecedented,’ he said. ‘We feel it.’ With the conflict intensifying, Israel and its allies are prepared to escalate further actions against Iran’s military and missile capabilities.
