LA Police Union Boss Warns Violent Protesters Will Face Force Amid ICE Riots

Los Angeles is witnessing a renewed wave of violence and unrest as protests continue to escalate over the recent arrest of criminal illegal immigrants in the city. The LAPD has taken a firm stance against the rioters who have been looting, vandalizing, and attacking law enforcement officers. Jamie McBride, the director of the Los Angeles Police Protective League and a LAPD detective with 35 years of experience, has issued a strong warning to potential protesters. He has emphasized that any form of violence will not be tolerated and that the department is ready to use force if needed to enforce the law. ‘If you come down here and you’re not having a peaceful protest, if you resort to any type of violence, you will go to jail, we will find you,’ McBride told Fox News Digital. He has also spoken about the current state of affairs in Los Angeles, where the city is dealing with high crime rates and high taxes. While he praised the current district attorney, Nathan Hochman, for being tough on crime, he was critical of his predecessor, George Gascon, for being too lenient. McBride also criticized California’s leadership, particularly Governor Gavin Newsom, for his refusal to support the deployment of the National Guard and Marines to the city in an effort to quell the riots. He called Newsom an ‘idiot’ for his stance, suggesting that his reluctance to accept federal assistance is exacerbating the situation. In addition, McBride expressed concerns about Mayor Karen Bass, who he believed is not taking the matter seriously enough. He has urged the mayor to step up and seek the necessary help from the federal government to restore order in the city.

The district attorney, Nathan Hochman, has also made his position clear, stating that he will take the fight against rioters to the fullest extent possible. This aligns with the LAPD’s approach, as they are determined to maintain public safety and uphold the law. The situation in Los Angeles is also being closely watched as it represents a broader challenge for the state and its leadership. With both Newsom and Bass facing potential political challenges in the upcoming presidential election cycle, their handling of the current crisis could have significant implications for their political careers. The city’s police union and district attorney are working together to ensure that the rioters are held accountable and that the situation is brought under control. The situation highlights the complex interplay between local law enforcement, state leadership, and the federal government in managing civil unrest and maintaining public order. As the protests continue, the pressure on city and state officials to address the growing unrest is increasing, and the response from the LAPD and the DA is a critical factor in determining the outcome of the situation in Los Angeles.
