The trial of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has progressed with his ex-girlfriend providing extensive testimony about the alleged ‘hotel nights’ where she and the rapper, along with male escorts, used celebrity nicknames such as Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and Shaquille O’Neal. The prosecution is nearing the end of their witness list, having detailed a number of high-profile names that have been mentioned during the trial. Other celebrities, including Usher and former President Barack Obama, have also been referenced, with Diddy’s former assistants testifying about his alleged drug use and violent behavior. This case, centered around allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering, continues to unfold with a number of well-known figures being brought into the spotlight.
As prosecutors neared the end of their witness list in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ trial, a list of celebrities were mentioned in court, including the likes of Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and Shaquille O’Neal. During the fifth week of trial testimony, the jury heard from the disgraced music mogul’s ex-girlfriend, who described her relationships with Diddy and the alleged drug-fueled nights when he was said to have forced her into having sex with male escorts while he watched.
Under the pseudonym ‘Jane,’ she told the jury about her relationship with Combs which began in 2021. She testified that the trio used nicknames, such as ‘Trifecta,’ to refer to the group, where Diddy was likened to Michael Jordan, while the male escort was called Shaq. Other references included Kobe Bryant, with Jane testifying that these were used as a way to identify the different people during their alleged hotel nights.
Additionally, the trial has seen other high-profile individuals named, with former President Barack Obama, Usher and others mentioned during testimony. One of the trial’s key pieces of evidence was the testimony from Diddy’s former assistant who claimed the rapper carried multiple undisclosed pill bottles, including ecstasy, which was described as one that resembled the face of a former president.
Another key piece of testimony came from Dawn Richard, a former Danity Kane singer, who testified about an incident in which Diddy allegedly punched Cassie Ventura in the stomach during a private dinner. Richard described the room as filled with industry professionals, including Usher and other celebrities, who were present for the incident.
In a bid to understand how influential Diddy was in the music industry, the trial has also heard from Capricorn Clark, Diddy’s ex-executive assistant, who described Cassie Ventura as more of a studio artist compared to performers like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.
