22-Year-Old Woman Arrested for Sending Nude Photos to 14-Year-Old Boy
A 22-year-old woman, ANAMARIA E. MILAZZO, was arrested in Chemung County, New York, for sending indecent material to a 14-year-old boy, as reported by the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest was announced in a Facebook post on June 16, detailing the charges of Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the Second Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The case was uncovered when a School Resource Officer at the Greater Southern Tier BOCES received a complaint in June 2025, leading to an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
MILAZZO, who was previously employed by BOCES but was later fired, faces a class E felony and a class A misdemeanor charge. Due to New York’s no-cash bail law, she was released without serving time in jail. The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division was involved in the investigation, which revealed that MILAZZO had sent nude photographs of herself to the 14-year-old male over a three-month period.
The incident has sparked discussions about the responsibilities of educators and the need for stricter oversight in school systems, especially concerning online interactions. BOCES, which serves multiple districts in the region, has been contacted by news outlets for comment, but no response has been received as of now. This case is part of a broader pattern of similar allegations against educators, as seen in recent high-profile cases such as the Illinois teacher indicted on 52 additional charges in a student sexual abuse case.
Legal experts highlight the severity of these charges, emphasizing the potential impact on the accused’s future. Although MILAZZO was released, the case underscores the importance of addressing online safety for minors and the legal consequences of such actions. The case also reflects the broader societal concerns regarding the responsibilities of adults in protecting young people from online risks.
