BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff has denied allegations of sexual assault from a 2023 encounter, as per newly filed court documents. The lawsuit, filed in Utah last month, accuses Retzlaff of battery, assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. He has not been criminally charged. The woman, identified as Jane Doe A.G., claimed to have met Retzlaff on social media before agreeing to visit him at his apartment to play video games, according to ESPN. According to the complaint, the woman alleged that after the alleged victim attempted to leave, Retzlaff put his hands around her neck and raped her. Retzlaff’s attorneys have denied the allegations and claimed the two had engaged in consensual sex. They also accused the woman of extortion, stating that Retzlaff did not hear from her for over a year but has now contacted her because he is an NFL Draft prospect.
