Israel Claims Elimination of Hamas Co-Founder Linked to October 7 Attack

Israel’s military has confirmed the death of Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-Issa, a high-ranking Hamas commander allegedly responsible for planning the October 7 attacks. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) called him one of the last remaining senior Hamas terrorists, stating he led the group’s military operations and orchestrated the deadly assault that left over 1,200 Israelis dead and 250 taken hostage. According to the IDF, Issa was killed in a strike, along with his wife and grandson, as part of its ongoing campaign against Hamas in Gaza.
