Russian Drones Strike Ukraine, Killing 4 and Injuring 15

On July 1, Russian attacks on Ukraine resulted in the deaths of at least four civilians and injuries to 15 others over the past day. According to regional authorities, the strikes occurred overnight, with Russia deploying 47 Shahed-type attack drones and decoys. Ukrainian air defenses managed to shoot down 14 of the drones, while 33 were intercepted by electronic warfare systems or lost from radar detection. The attacks targeted various regions of Ukraine, causing significant damage to infrastructure and homes.

In Donetsk Oblast, three civilians were injured during the Russian attacks, according to Governor Vadym Filashkin. In Kharkiv Oblast, two women, aged 60 and 81, were injured during an attack on the Tsykruny village, reported Governor Oleh Syniehubov. Meanwhile, in Kherson Oblast, the strikes killed two individuals and injured five, with three high-rise buildings and eight homes damaged, as stated by regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin. In Mykolaiv Oblast, a 45-year-old man was killed and a 37-year-old woman was injured during the shelling of the Kutsurub community on June 30, according to Governor Vitalii Kim. Additionally, another artillery attack on July 1 resulted in the death of a 75-year-old man and injury to his 76-year-old wife. In Sumy Oblast, two civilians were injured in the attacks, while in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a 56-year-old man was wounded during an attack on the Polohy district, reported Governor Ivan Fedorov. These incidents highlight the ongoing escalation of hostilities and the devastating civilian toll.
