Ukraine Reports 6 Civilian Deaths and 25 Injuries from Russian Attacks

On the night of July 6, Russian forces escalated their attacks on Ukrainian territory, launching a coordinated assault involving four S-300 anti-aircraft missiles and 157 Shahed drones from multiple locations, including Russia’s Kursk Oblast and occupied Crimea. According to Ukraine’s Air Force, the attacks targeted several regions across Ukraine, resulting in significant casualties and critical infrastructure damage.

The toll of the attacks was particularly severe in Kharkiv Oblast, where Russian strikes on 13 settlements claimed the lives of two civilians and injured 11 others. In the village of Odnorobivka, an 8-year-old boy was killed, while a 3-year-old boy, a 40-year-old man, and a 36-year-old woman were among the injured. In Kupiansk, a 59-year-old man was killed, with a 56-year-old man, a 57-year-old woman, and two women aged 65 also suffering injuries. The regional capital of Kharkiv also faced casualties, with a 46-year-old woman and a 2-year-old girl injured.

In Donetsk Oblast, two people were killed, including a resident of Myrnohrad and another in Andriivka. Additional injuries were reported in Siversk and Pokrovsk, with at least four people wounded in total. The attacks in Kherson Oblast, which includes the regional capital, resulted in two deaths and three injuries, according to Governor Oleksandr Prokudin. In Mykolaiv Oblast, the port infrastructure was targeted, causing damage to the power grid and warehouses. A 31-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized, while a 35-year-old man was treated at the scene.

Further attacks occurred in Sumy Oblast, where an FPV drone struck the Khotyn community, hitting a car and injuring a 49-year-old man. In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a 39-year-old woman was injured during an attack on the Nikopol district. Meanwhile, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, an 89-year-old woman was injured in the village of Yurkivka. Kyiv Oblast saw a 35-year-old man injured in the Vyshhorod district, while in Poltava Oblast, an attack on Kremenchuk caused a fire but no casualties were reported.

The Ukrainian Emergency Service also reported that Russia conducted double-tap attacks in Kharkiv and Kherson, striking again after rescuers arrived at the scene. While the attacks damaged tanker trucks, no rescuers were injured. Ukraine’s army chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, warned of new Russian offensives in the northeast, emphasizing the heightened combat activity in the region. The ongoing conflict continues to take a heavy toll on Ukraine’s civilian population, illustrating the urgent need for continued military and humanitarian support.
