Victor Pinchuk Foundation and YES Host Panel on Security and Reconstruction at URC2025

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation, in partnership with the Yalta European Strategy (YES), is set to host a panel discussion at the URC2025 conference in Rome on July 9. The session, titled “No Security – No Recovery,” will explore the critical relationship between security and reconstruction efforts. Prominent speakers include US Presidential Envoy Keith Kellogg, Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal, and Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna.

The discussion is expected to address how robust security frameworks are essential for successful economic recovery and infrastructure rebuilding in conflict-aided regions. With global tensions rising and geopolitical instability persisting, the panel aims to provide insights into strategies that can foster peace and sustainable development. The event is part of a broader initiative by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation to address the intersection of security and reconstruction in post-conflict settings.

Keith Kellogg, who has been instrumental in coordinating US efforts on global security and stability, will bring expertise in addressing the multifaceted challenges of conflict resolution. Kristen Michal, representing Estonia, will highlight her country’s experience in balancing cybersecurity and national security with economic development. Olha Stefanishyna, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice of Ukraine, will emphasize the importance of security in the context of ongoing conflicts and reconstruction priorities.

As the panel unfolds, attendees and observers will likely gain a deeper understanding of the complex interplay between security and recovery. The event underscores the growing recognition of security as a foundational element in achieving long-term economic and social stability in regions affected by conflict. This initiative reflects a collective effort among international stakeholders to address the pressing challenges of the contemporary geopolitical landscape.
