European Solidarity and Holos MPs Push for Immediate Appointment of Ukraine’s Economic Security Director

Members of Parliament from the European Solidarity and Holos factions have registered a resolution in the Verkhovna Rada demanding that the government immediately comply with the law and appoint the Director of the Bureau of Economic Security (BES), Holos MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak announced. This move underscores growing pressure on the Ukrainian government to advance critical economic reforms.

The Bureau of Economic Security plays a vital role in safeguarding Ukraine’s economic interests, particularly in the context of ongoing international sanctions and economic challenges. By pushing for the swift appointment of a director, the MPs aim to ensure that the agency can operate effectively and fulfill its mandate.

The resolution highlights the importance of institutional compliance and timely governance in Ukraine’s economic management. Analysts suggest that the demand reflects broader concerns about the efficiency and transparency of the government’s economic policies.

The European Solidarity and Holos parties, known for their pro-European Union stance, have consistently advocated for reforms that align with international standards. Their call for action is seen as a significant development in the ongoing efforts to stabilize Ukraine’s economy.
