On Saturday, July 12, Russian occupation forces launched airstrikes using guided aerial bombs on the village of Velykomykhailivka in the Synelnykove district of Dnipropetrovsk region, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES). The attack resulted in the deaths of two civilians and caused significant damage to the local infrastructure. The SES reported that the blasts targeted a residential area, with the full extent of casualties and damage still being assessed by emergency responders.

The incident adds to the ongoing conflict in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which has seen frequent artillery and aerial attacks since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Ukrainian authorities have confirmed that the attack was carried out by Russian forces, and the SES has called for international condemnation and support for the ongoing humanitarian efforts in the region. As of now, there are no official statements from Russian officials regarding the attack, and the situation remains under close observation by both Ukrainian and international defense agencies.
