The New York Jets have reached an agreement with wide receiver Garrett Wilson on a four-year contract extension, valued at $130 million. The deal includes $90 million in guaranteed money, a $13.75 million signing bonus, and performance-based option bonuses of $20 million and $10 million for the second and third years, respectively, locking Wilson in with the team through the 2030 season. Wilson, who was selected by the Jets with the 10th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and won Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2023, has shown significant growth in his career. Despite a rocky start in the 2023 season, he improved in his third season, recording 101 catches for 1,104 yards and seven touchdowns. Wilson expressed his commitment to the Jets, stating in May that he hopes to play for the team for the rest of his career. The Jets’ future looks bright as they prepare for the 2025 season, with quarterback Justin Fields set to take over as the team’s new leader.
