Kyivteploenergo to Expand Heat Meter Network by 25% in 2025

Kyivteploenergo (KTE), the municipal enterprise responsible for heating services in Kyiv, has announced its plan to expand the network of home heat meters by 25% in 2025. This initiative, which involves the installation of 440 meters—comprising 300 new units and 100 replacements for stolen or damaged meters—aims to modernize the city’s heating infrastructure and improve overall energy efficiency.

The decision to increase the number of heat meters reflects ongoing efforts to combat energy theft and ensure fair billing for residents. KTE emphasized that the expansion will help in accurately measuring heat consumption, which in turn will lead to more transparent and equitable cost distribution among households. This move is expected to contribute to Kyiv’s broader strategy of transitioning towards a more sustainable and efficient energy system.

Municipal officials have welcomed the plan, stating that it aligns with the city’s commitment to reducing energy waste and promoting responsible usage. The implementation of these meters is also expected to provide valuable data for future urban planning and energy policy development. Overall, the project represents a step towards modernizing Kyiv’s heating services and enhancing the reliability of its energy infrastructure.
