American Tourist Identified as Missing Man Found in Turks and Caicos

Police in the Turks and Caicos have confirmed the identification of Brian Tarrence, a 51-year-old American from New York, whose body was found in the area after he went missing during a vacation. Authorities stated there was no foul play, and the cause of death remains under investigation.

Tarrence was last seen leaving his condo at the Paradise Inn in Grace Bay, Providenciales, on June 25 before disappearing without a trace. His wife became aware of his absence the following morning, and his belongings remained at the condo. The police have ruled out foul play at this time, with the cause of death still under investigation as toxicology reports are pending.

Carl DeFazio, the Tarrence family’s private investigator, previously told Fox News Digital that the condo is located in a safe area. He described how Tarrence and his wife were having a normal couple’s vacation when he suddenly disappeared after walking out of his condo, which is in a very safe place and in the middle of Grace Bay Road. The investigator added that Tarrence’s wife didn’t realize he was missing until the following morning, raising questions about how he could have left without being noticed.

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force said Tarrence’s body was found shortly after 9 a.m. on July 5. The police have urged anyone with information relating to Tarrence’s case to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. The Tarrence’s were set to return from their vacation on June 29, adding to the mystery of how he could have vanished so suddenly.
