Former NFL Star Bryan Braman Dies at 38 After Battle With Rare Cancer

Bryan Braman, the former NFL linebacker who played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans, has died at the age of 38 after a rare and aggressive cancer battle. His agent Sean Stellato confirmed his passing on Thursday, stating that the cancer had advanced so rapidly and spread around his vital organs, even after initial treatment with CAR-T cell therapy.

Brman’s diagnosis was revealed earlier this year, and a GoFundMe campaign raised over $88,000 in his name, with a significant $10,000 contribution from former Houston Texans star J.J. Watt. The former NFL player was a devoted father to his two daughters, aged 11 and 8, as well as a loyal member of the Eagles’ 2017 Super Bowl-winning team, where he recorded a single tackle in the championship game.

He spent the majority of his seven-year NFL career with the Eagles, joining the team just before the playoffs in 2017. Earlier in his career, he played for the Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2011, where he stayed for three seasons before signing with the Eagles in 2014. He was a standout at West Texas A&M before turning pro, playing in 97 NFL games from 2011 to 2017, where he recorded 56 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery.

The tragic news has shocked the sports community, with many paying tribute to Braman’s dedication to the game and the support he received from fans and teammates during his illness. His family now grieves the loss of a beloved father and husband, as they are left to mourn the untimely death of a man who left an indelible mark on both the Eagles and the Texas Football community.
