The new measures will require senior leaders within the Department, including the office of the secretary, to conduct final reviews of decisions related to leases, rights-of-way, construction plans, grants, consultations, and biological opinions.
Acting Assistant Secretary for Lands and Minerals Management Adam Suess emphasized the initiative’s alignment with President Trump’s commitment to curbing what he describes as the
