Alison Sweeney, a former child star and longtime television personality, has transitioned from the fast-paced world of Hollywood to a more balanced life in Arizona, where she prioritizes health, wellness, and family. In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, the 48-year-old actress shared her thoughts on leaving the entertainment industry behind and embracing a calmer, more grounded lifestyle. Sweeney, who is best known for her role in the long-running soap opera *Days of Our Lives* and her time as a *Biggest Loser* host, expressed her contentment with her current life, stating, “I don’t miss Hollywood. I miss my family. I love my family. I go to visit them all the time, but they’re not really in Hollywood or whatever. So, no, I am thrilled with my life. I love how normal it is.”
The move to Arizona has allowed Sweeney to step away from the pressures of fame and focus on her health and family. The actress, who recently partnered with Align Probiotics for a wellness campaign, highlighted the importance of nutrition and self-care in her daily life. “I am a busy mom and I work all the time, and you really don’t have a lot of time for your gut health to not be aligned,” she said. “And so it was a great partnership [with Align Probiotics] because I care about my health. Everything you’re reading right now is people trying to be more healthy, people trying to understand their bodies better. And one of the things I learned at *The Biggest Loser* is that you are getting signs from your body. Your body is trying to communicate with you. It’s trying to help you.”
Her transition from Hollywood to Arizona has also allowed her to reevaluate her priorities. Sweeney, who recently celebrated 25 years of marriage with her husband, David Sanov, emphasized the value of family and the importance of communication in maintaining strong relationships. “Communication is key,” she said. “I know that’s maybe too cheesy to say, but just staying in contact, talking all the time, checking in on the little things. I used to say that gestures, loving gestures are so important, but it’s not romantic. Like, ‘Oh, bring me flowers every week.’ It’s little things like, he charges my phone for me when I can’t find it. I make him cappuccino in the mother just to be nice. And then not only doing those things for your partner, but recognizing … and acknowledging them and allowing that to be the sweet care and gesture that it is.”
As Sweeney continues to navigate her life away from the spotlight, she remains focused on health, wellness, and the importance of family. Her journey serves as a testament to the value of finding balance in life, even after a long and successful career in entertainment.
