Mark Green Resigns from Congress, Further Shrinking House GOP Majority

Tennessee Republican Mark Green has completed his final day in Congress on July 20, contributing to the fourth vacancy in the U.S. House of Representatives. His departure leaves the House with 219 Republicans and 212 Democrats, marking the fourth vacancy, including late Democratic representatives such as Sylvester Turner of Texas, Raul Grijalva of Arizona, and Gerry Connolly of Virginia.

Green, the Republican from Tennessee, stated last month that he would leave Congress for the private sector once the House voted again on President Donald Trump’s ‘big, beautiful bill,’ in a statement first obtained by Fox News Digital.
