Former Obama aides, now hosts of the podcast ‘Pod Save America,’ have openly mocked Hunter Biden’s recent interview where he criticized members of the Democratic elite. Jon Favreau, Tommy Vietor, and Jon Lovett, who served as former staffers to former President Barack Obama, expressed their frustration with Biden’s outburst, labeling it a display of hypocrisy and entitlement.
The trio highlighted how Biden’s family, including his father Joe Biden, had used their political connections for personal benefit, while also criticizing the Democratic establishment for their perceived arrogance and refusal to acknowledge public sentiment. In the three-hour interview with YouTube personality Andrew Callaghan, Hunter Biden also attacked actor George Clooney, Democratic strategist James Carville, CNN commentator David Axelrod, and CNN host Jake Tapper, while praising his father for giving ’52 years of his f—ing life’ to his political career.
Jon Lovett sarcastically remarked that it was ‘just so hard for Hunter Biden to watch all these people dining out on somebody’s name,’ and Tommy Vietor called the interview a ‘three hours of Hunter playing the victim.’ The ex-Obama aides emphasized their frustration with Biden’s inner circle, which they argued had encouraged him to run for re-election despite overwhelming evidence suggesting that Americans believed he was too old to serve a second term.
Days after the election, Favreau had already labeled Biden’s decision to run for a second term as a ‘catastrophic mistake,’ citing the former president’s refusal to acknowledge public discontent with inflation and his unpopularity. The ‘Pod Save America’ hosts have been vocal in their criticism of the Biden administration, suggesting that the family’s entitlement and the Democratic establishment’s arrogance were key factors that led to their current political difficulties.
