Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal has convened a meeting with the Ministry of Finance and heads of major state banks to discuss enhancing financial support for Ukraine’s defense sector. The meeting aims to strengthen the financial mechanisms in place to ensure that defense enterprises can access the necessary resources to carry out their operations effectively.
During the meeting, officials from the Ministry of Finance and state banks are expected to explore ways to simplify the financing processes for defense-related companies. The goal is to make it easier for these enterprises to secure funding, which will enable them to procure equipment, develop new technologies, and maintain operational readiness.
The decision to streamline financial support for the defense sector comes at a time when Ukraine continues to face significant security challenges. By improving access to capital, the government aims to bolster the capabilities of the defense industry and enhance the country’s ability to defend its sovereignty.
