Interfax-Ukraine to Host Roundtable on Rebuilding Kyiv Region Post-Occupation

On July 24, Interfax-Ukraine will host a roundtable discussion at its press center in Kyiv, addressing the challenges of rebuilding the occupied Kyiv region. The event, organized by the Capital Region Discussion Club, will explore key issues such as restoring deoccupied territories, mitigating the consequences of destruction, and constructing housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and veterans. The discussion aims to provide insights into the logistical and administrative hurdles faced in the post-occupation reconstruction efforts.

The participants will include village head of Hatny, head of the Kyiv regional branch of the All-Ukrainian Association of ATC Oleksandr Palamarchuk, head of the NGO All-Ukrainian Association of Freelance (Public) Inspectors of Architectural and Construction Control Serhiy Vozny, city mayor of Brovary Ihor Sapozhko, sociologist Andriy Yeremenko, and veteran leader Oleksandr Mahdych. These individuals bring a range of expertise from local governance, architectural oversight, and veteran support to the table.

The roundtable will be broadcast live on Interfax-Ukraine’s YouTube channel, allowing for wider public engagement. Journalists are required to register with editorial ID cards for on-site attendance. This event highlights the collaborative efforts between government officials, experts, and community leaders to address the multifaceted challenges of post-conflict reconstruction in Ukraine.
