Texas A&M’s Mascot Reveille X Undergoes Eye Surgery Following Glaucoma Diagnosis

Reveille X, the mascot for Texas A&M University, has undergone a medical procedure to remove her right eye after being diagnosed with glaucoma. The university’s president confirmed that the collie is recovering well and is expected to resume her duties in the fall.

Reveille X, also known as the ‘First Lady of Aggieland,’ experienced discomfort and cloudiness in her eye prior to the diagnosis and surgery, Texas A&M President Mark A. Welsh III said. The eye removal was done out of an abundance of caution after discovering signs of abnormal tissue, Welsh added.
