NYC Shooting: Gunman’s Grievance Against NFL and Football Linked to CTE Claims

The gunman responsible for a deadly shooting in New York City, which left four people dead including an NYPD officer, reportedly had a longstanding grievance against the NFL. Shane Tamura, the 27-year-old Nevada resident, left a note near his body citing the NFL and blaming the sport of football for chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a neurological condition associated with repeated head trauma. The incident occurred at 345 Park Ave, the same building housing the NFL’s headquarters.
