The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a significant allocation of nearly UAH 600 million for the completion of key water supply projects in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This funding is intended to support the final stages of critical infrastructure construction that will enhance the region’s water supply capabilities. The announcement was made by Member of Parliament Oleksiy Honcharenko, representing the European Solidarity faction, who shared the update on Telegram on Wednesday.
The move comes as part of broader efforts to modernize and expand Ukraine’s water infrastructure, which has faced challenges due to the ongoing conflict with Russia. The Dnipropetrovsk region, a key industrial and urban center, has been particularly affected by infrastructure damage and disruptions to essential services. By investing in the completion of these water supply projects, the Cabinet aims to ensure a more reliable and sustainable water supply for residents and support economic activities in the area.
Officials have emphasized that the project will not only improve immediate access to clean water but also contribute to long-term resilience against potential disruptions. This investment is seen as a crucial step towards restoring and maintaining essential services in the region, which is vital for both public welfare and economic stability. As the Cabinet continues to prioritize infrastructure development, the allocation of these funds reflects a commitment to addressing urgent needs while fostering sustainable growth in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
