Kristin Davis Recalls Being Cold-Shoote by ‘Melrose Place’ Co-Star

Kristin Davis revealed that one of her ‘Melrose Place’ co-stars gave her the cold shoulder during the time they worked together on the hit ’90s prime-time soap drama, according to an interview on the ‘Hey Dude… The ’90s Called!’ podcast. The actress, who played the villainous Brooke Armstrong in the third season of ‘Melrose Place’ from 1995 to 1996, described the experience as a mix of excitement and intimidation.

Despite the tension, Davis emphasized that it was an important milestone in her career, which she described as feeling like ‘winning the lottery.’ She noted that while the set was competitive, she had supportive colleagues like Marcia Cross, who helped her navigate the challenges. However, one cast member, who was not named, was particularly unfriendly, refusing to speak to her on set.

Davis explained that she had seen this person since then and now found them to be friendly, though she wondered if they remembered their past interactions. She also shared her approach to working on ‘Sex and the City,’ where she tried to be welcoming to new actors, remembering the difficult feelings she had experienced on ‘Melrose Place.’

In addition to her acting career, Davis also spoke about her experience auditioning for the role of Brooke, where she beat Hilary Swank and another actress for the part. She recalled the stress of the audition, including her worries about her long hair, but she ultimately felt confident in her performance.
