Oschadbank, the state-owned commercial bank of Ukraine, has announced that it has provided bank guarantees for contracts totaling EUR837 million to acquire UAVs from four Ukrainian manufacturers. This move comes as part of a defense agreement between the Netherlands and Ukraine, which aims to support Ukraine’s military capabilities by facilitating the procurement of advanced unmanned aerial vehicles.
The bank’s support is critical in ensuring the timely delivery of these systems, which are vital for Ukraine’s defense efforts. The guarantees will help Ukrainian manufacturers secure financing for the production of these UAVs, allowing them to meet the demands of the Ukrainian military.
The agreement represents a significant step in strengthening Ukraine’s defense infrastructure, with the Netherlands playing a key role in supporting the country’s military readiness. As part of the defense pact, the Netherlands is providing financial and logistical assistance to ensure the successful acquisition and deployment of these UAVs.
