Devil’s Den Hiking Tragedy: Suspect’s ‘Death Stare’ Precedes Double Murder

Witnesses at Devil’s Den State Park reported a harrowing encounter with Andrew James McGann, the suspect in the double murder of Clinton and Cristen Brink, who allegedly gave them a ‘death stare’ minutes before the attack. The couple, who were hiking with their two daughters, described the man as dressed entirely in black and carrying a large mesh-style athletic bag, which they found highly unusual and unsettling. Tony Brueski, host of the ‘Hidden Killers’ podcast, recounted that the couple and others noticed the suspect’s car with duct tape over the license plate, hinting at a planned attack. However, authorities have stated that the attack appears to be random, with no known connection between the suspect and the victims. McGann was arrested mid-haircut in Springdale and confessed to the crime, with DNA evidence confirming his involvement. The Brinks’ two young children were not harmed and are being cared for by family, while McGann sustained injuries during the assault.
