Israeli NGO Facilitates Humanitarian Aid Amid Gaza Crisis

An Israeli non-governmental organization known as IsraAID has become a vital player in the effort to deliver critical supplies to the civilian population of Gaza. The organization, which operates in 64 countries and is based in Israel, has taken on the role of a key facilitator between humanitarian groups and the Israeli military. Its CEO, Yotam Polizer, described the organization’s purpose as being an informal connector and facilitator between the Israeli authorities and the humanitarian community, aiming to ensure humanitarian aid reaches those in need.

The situation in Gaza has reached critical levels, with reports indicating that malnutrition has reached famine levels, according to a UNICEF official. Polizer noted that while the immediate need is for food, the situation requires more than just basic provisions. Nutritional supplements, protein sources, and other essentials are also needed. He emphasized that the organization’s mission is to prioritize saving lives over engaging in political blame games, urging all stakeholders to collaborate and find solutions to the crisis.
