Ukrainian Public Opinion Suggests EU Membership Could Bring Prosperity Within a Decade

According to the results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), 53% of Ukrainian respondents believe that Ukraine will become a prosperous member state of the European Union within the next ten years.

The poll, which was conducted between July 23 and August 4, 2025, found that 40% of respondents are doubtful about Ukraine’s prospects of becoming a prosperous EU member state. This suggests that while a majority of Ukrainians are optimistic about the economic benefits of EU membership, a significant proportion remain skeptical about its potential impact on the country’s future.
