Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky Sea Port, a state enterprise under the Ukrainian government, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Batumi International Container Terminals LLC (BICT), which manages key ports in Georgia’s Batumi. The agreement, announced by Oksana Kyktenko, head of the state-owned enterprise, outlines plans to launch a new ferry route connecting the two ports. This development is anticipated to streamline regional trade and enhance maritime connectivity between the Black Sea and Eastern Europe.
The collaboration marks a significant step in improving infrastructure and logistics capabilities in the region. By establishing a reliable ferry service, the two ports aim to reduce transit times and lower transportation costs for goods moving between Ukraine and Georgia.
