Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky and Batumi Ports Launch New Ferry Service

Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky Sea Port, a state enterprise under the Ukrainian government, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Batumi International Container Terminals LLC (BICT), which manages key ports in Georgia’s Batumi. The agreement, announced by Oksana Kyktenko, head of the state-owned enterprise, outlines plans to launch a new ferry route connecting the two ports. This development is anticipated to streamline regional trade and enhance maritime connectivity between the Black Sea and Eastern Europe.

The collaboration marks a significant step in improving infrastructure and logistics capabilities in the region. By establishing a reliable ferry service, the two ports aim to reduce transit times and lower transportation costs for goods moving between Ukraine and Georgia. This could also create new opportunities for trade with neighboring countries and boost economic activity in the area.
