Ukrainian Embassy Honors Independence Day with Qutub Minar Illumination

The Ukrainian Embassy in India has illuminated the historic Qutub Minar in New Delhi with blue and yellow lights to mark both National Flag Day (August 23) and Ukraine’s Independence Day (August 24). This initiative, organized by the Embassy, highlights the cultural and diplomatic ties between Ukraine and India, with the colors chosen to honor both nations’ symbols of freedom and sovereignty.

The event underscores the shared values of independence and national pride, offering a visual tribute to Ukraine’s historic struggle for self-determination. The illumination of the Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, serves as a powerful reminder of the enduring friendship between the two countries.

Embassy officials emphasized that this gesture is part of a broader effort to strengthen bilateral relations and promote mutual understanding. The display is expected to resonate with Indian citizens, reinforcing the significance of international solidarity in the face of global challenges. This cultural exchange aims to build deeper connections and foster greater appreciation for the historical and contemporary ties between Ukraine and India.
