NH Mother Accused of Embezzling $600K, Then Murder-Suicide with Family

Emily Long, 34, a New Hampshire mother, is accused of embezzling over $600,000 from her employer, Wing-Itz, before carrying out a murder-suicide that left her husband and two children dead. Long, who worked as director of operations for the chicken wing chain, began stealing from the company in January 2023, according to the restaurant owner, Derek Fisher. The tragic incident occurred on August 18 in Madbury, where Long shot her husband, Ryan, and their two children before taking her life, sparing a one-year-old toddler. Fisher, who did not pursue legal action against the surviving child, is now supporting a GoFundMe campaign for the toddler’s care. The investigation into the embezzlement was halted after Long’s death, with the local police suspending the case.
