Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov announced that more than 2,000 Ukrainian schools across 24 regions have started the academic year using the ‘Mriya’ educational platform. This initiative is part of Ukraine’s broader efforts to modernize its education system through digital transformation. Fedorov emphasized that the platform provides access to a wide range of educational resources, including interactive lessons and online assessments, which are designed to enhance the learning experience for students.
The ‘Mriya’ platform was developed specifically for use during the pandemic when schools were forced to switch to remote learning. Since then, it has continued to be used to support distance learning and has been adapted to meet the evolving needs of both students and teachers. With the platform now being used at the start of the new academic year, Fedorov highlighted its role in ensuring continuity of education and reducing the reliance on traditional classroom settings.
According to the ministry, the platform has been rolled out in a phased manner, beginning in certain regions and gradually expanding to cover more schools. This approach allows for the identification and resolution of any technical issues before the full-scale implementation. Fedorov also noted that the government is working closely with educational institutions to provide training and support to teachers, ensuring they can effectively utilize the platform in their teaching.
The initiative is seen as a key part of Ukraine’s digital transformation strategy, which aims to improve the quality of education and prepare students for the challenges of the modern world. As more schools adopt the platform, the government is hopeful that it will contribute to a more equitable and accessible education system for all students in Ukraine.
