The 30th Meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine’s Defence, commonly referred to as the Ramstein format, will be held in London next week, according to UK Defence Secretary John Healey, who made the announcement during his visit to Kyiv on Wednesday.
This meeting marks a significant step in the international collaboration for Ukraine’s security, with the UK playing a central role in coordinating military and strategic support. The Ramstein format, named after the US Air Force Base in Germany, is known for its high-level coordination among NATO and non-NATO partners to address security-related issues.
Healey’s visit to Kyiv underscores the UK’s continued involvement in Ukraine’s defense strategy, particularly following recent developments in the conflict. The decision to host the meeting in London is seen as a demonstration of the UK’s solidarity with Ukraine and its commitment to the broader efforts to stabilize the region.
The meeting is expected to address critical issues such as the supply of military equipment, strategic planning, and the coordination of international efforts to support Ukraine. With the ongoing conflict, the UK’s participation in this meeting is a testament to its strategic priorities and the importance placed on maintaining global security alliances.
