FBI Confirms Non-Human Bones Found During Travis Decker Manhunt

Federal law enforcement agencies have been conducting a high-profile search for Travis Decker, a man accused of murdering his three young daughters. During a 250-acre search of Rock Island Campground near Leavenworth, Washington, investigators discovered remains that were later confirmed to be non-human. The search, which took place on August 25-26, was part of an ongoing manhunt for Decker, who has evaded capture for over three months and is considered armed and dangerous.

Special Agent in Charge W. Mike Herrington of the FBI Seattle field office stated that the remains recovered during the search were analyzed by Central Washington University and found to be of non-human origin. While the search did not yield any direct evidence of Decker’s location, it provided additional information for the investigation. The FBI has stated that as of Thursday, there is no evidence to indicate that De,cker is alive or dead.

Decker, an Army veteran with survival expertise, is wanted for the murders of his daughters, Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5. The children’s bodies were discovered in the vicinity of Rock Island Campground along Icicle Creek with bags over their heads. Autopsies confirmed they died of suffocation, and their deaths were ruled as homicides. The U.S. Marshals Service is offering up to $20,000 for information leading to Decker’s arrest.

Authorities have not yet commented on the search results, though the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office and the Wenatchee Police Department have not provided immediate responses to recent inquiries. Despite the extensive search, Decker remains at large, and the FBI has not indicated any further updates on this specific operation.
