Ukrainian Soldiers to Receive EW Equipment via Drone Army Bonus Program

Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal has announced that Ukrainian servicemen will be able to receive electronic warfare (EW) equipment through the Defense Ministry’s digital system, DOT-Chain Defence, directly from manufacturers. This initiative, part of the Drone Army Bonus program, is aimed at enhancing the country’s military capabilities by streamlining the procurement process and ensuring that the armed forces are equipped with advanced EW technology.

The Drone Army Bonus program has been a key component of Ukraine’s strategy to modernize its military in the face of ongoing conflicts. By allowing direct procurement through the DOT-Chain Defence system, the Defense Ministry is seeking to reduce bureaucratic delays and ensure that critical equipment reaches the front lines more quickly. This approach is also expected to foster better collaboration between the military and private sector manufacturers, leading to more tailored and effective solutions for the battlefield.

Shmyhal highlighted that the integration of the digital system with the manufacturing process will not only expedite the delivery of EW equipment but also improve transparency and accountability in the procurement chain. The initiative underscores Ukraine’s commitment to leveraging technology and innovative procurement methods to strengthen its defense capabilities. As the conflict continues, such measures are seen as vital for maintaining the operational edge of Ukrainian forces in an increasingly sophisticated battlefield environment.
