New York Mayor Eric Adams has dismissed rumors that he would drop out of his mayoral re-election race, reaffirming his commitment to the campaign and promising to defeat his Democratic opponent Zohran Mamdani. During a press conference on Friday, Adams called both Mamdani and former Governor Andrew Cuomo ‘spoiled brats,’ accusing them of having ‘silver spoons in their mouths’ and lacking the struggles of working-class New Yorkers. He also criticized Cuomo for a ‘career of pushing black candidates out of races.’ Despite being significantly behind in the polls, Adams dismissed the data, citing past inaccuracies in polling for Cuomo. The mayor emphasized his dedication to the city, stating, ‘I’m going to wear that polo shirt for another four years.’
