U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has deported Omar Alberto Almodobar Mondragon, a Mexican man accused of aggravated rape against an underage family member, to Mexican authorities. According to ICE, the 29-year-old entered the U.S. in November 2019 on a visitor’s visa but never left, effectively overstaying his visa by nearly five years. The deportation took place at the Dennis DeConcini Port of Entry in Nogales, Arizona, where U.S. immigration officials handed him over to Mexican authorities. The agency emphasized that the removal was part of its commitment to public safety and national security, particularly in the context of removing dangerous criminal aliens from U.S. communities.
