Ukrnafta and TOKA Launch Joint EV Charging Station in Khmelnytskyi

Ukrnafta, a major Ukrainian energy company, has partnered with TOKA, a leading operator of charging station networks, to establish the first joint electric vehicle charging station at one of Ukrnafta’s gas stations in Khmelnytskyi. Located at 54/7 Symona Petliury Street, the new station is expected to provide local residents and drivers with a convenient and accessible option for charging their electric vehicles. This collaboration is part of Ukraine’s broader strategy to modernize its transportation infrastructure and promote the adoption of electric vehicles.

As the country continues to transition towards sustainable energy solutions, the opening of this charging station is seen as a crucial step in the development of a widespread EV charging network. The partnership between Ukrnaft and TOKA underscores the growing importance of public-private collaboration in advancing the national energy transition. This initiative not only supports the government’s environmental goals but also aims to reduce the country’s reliance on fossil fuels and increase the accessibility of renewable energy sources.

Industry analysts note that the expansion of EV infrastructure in Ukraine is essential for meeting international climate commitments and supporting the growth of the electric vehicle market. The joint charging station in Khmelnytskyi is expected to serve as a model for future projects, encouraging similar partnerships across the country. With increasing consumer demand and government incentives, the development of a robust EV charging network is poised to play a vital role in Ukraine’s energy and transportation landscape in the coming years.
