Finance Minister Marchenko Leads Expanded Working Group for IMF Talks

Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko has assumed the role of head of the Inter-Institutional Working Group tasked with coordinating negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The working group, which has been expanded from 17 to 19 members, is now better equipped to address the complexities of the ongoing discussions.

The decision to increase the group’s size reflects a strategic move to enhance the scope and depth of preparatory work for the IMF talks. The additional members are expected to bring diverse expertise and perspectives, ensuring that all aspects of the negotiations are thoroughly considered.

Marchenko’s leadership is anticipated to provide greater oversight and coordination, which could potentially expedite the negotiation process. The working group will focus on key areas such as fiscal stability, economic growth, and structural reforms aimed at aligning with IMF recommendations.
