Mobile Vibe-Coding Apps Struggle to Gain Momentum

Dedicated mobile apps for vibe-coding have not yet achieved significant traction or revenue, despite the presence of several AI-assisted coding tools. A report from TechCrunch highlights that while vibe-coding startups have thrived, mobile apps in this space remain underwhelming, with only a few apps like Instance: AI App Builder and Vibe Studio seeing minimal downloads and revenue. As of now, only a handful of such apps have managed to generate any downloads or revenue, with Instance: AI App Builder leading the pack with 16,000 downloads and $1,000 in consumer spending, and Vibe Studio following closely with 4,000 downloads but no revenue. However, the market is still evolving, and new entrants like Vibecode, backed by Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six, could reshape the landscape. For now, the majority of users are still engaging with vibe-coding technology on desktop platforms.
