Georgetown University Responds to Resurfaced Anti-Charlie Kirk Flyers

Georgetown University has removed a second wave of inflammatory flyers mocking the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and reported the incident to the FBI. The flyers, which included a QR code linking to the left-wing Georgetown John Brown Club, were found in the campus’s central Red Square, prompting the university to take swift action following the initial posting.

The flyers, which depicted Kirk’s face with eyes blacked out and the words ‘Follow your leader’ and ‘Rest in p-ss Charlie,’ were first obtained by Fox News and posted in the central Red Square on Thursday night. Shae McInnis, treasurer of the Georgetown College Republicans, expressed alarm at the flyers’ reappearance, stating he felt the entire university is under attack by individuals with no respect for societal norms. He warned that the rhetoric has already chilled free speech on campus, raising concerns about the safety of students expressing their views.

The John Brown Gun Club, cited in the Georgetown flyers, is classified as a far-left group by the Center for Counter Extremism, and has been linked to violent incidents including the 2025 armed attack on an ICE detention center in Texas and the 2019 attempted firebombing of an ICE facility in Tacoma, Washington. McInnis called for swift accountability, urging the university to identify all involved students and take immediate action. He warned that if the university fails to act, the federal government should intervene to protect conservative students across the country.
