Manhunt Intensifies as Accused Murderer Freed by Clerical Error
Authorities are scrambling to locate Ty Anthony Sage, 26, an accused murderer who was released from the Multnomah County Detention Center in Portland, Oregon, due to a clerical error. Sage was arrested in connection to a 2021 robbery and shooting that left 15-year-old Lowgunn Ivey dead and two others injured. Although a judge had earlier denied his bail, a release form indicated he was allowed to post bail, violating the court order. This mistake has triggered a manhunt as the victim’s family expresses deep frustration and fear, unsure whether justice will ever be served for Lowgunn Ivey.
According to FOX 12, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office has acknowledged the error and stated they are conducting a review of the incident to understand what went wrong. Sheriff Nicole Morissey O’Donnell emphasized the responsibility of the law enforcement in ensuring the safety of the community by preventing such mistakes.
