Arab officials informed Fox News Digital that during the meeting, leaders urged Trump to confirm that he would block Israeli annexation of the West Bank, describing the discussion as ‘productive.’ Meanwhile, France criticized the UN’s recognition of the Palestinian state as a blow to Hamas rather than a reward. At the Concordia Annual Summit, special envoy Steve Witkoff confirmed the meeting’s productivity with officials from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who was barred from entering the U.S., addressed the UNGA and pledged support for the Trump plan, indicating readiness to collaborate with Trump, Saudi Arabia, France, the UN, and other partners to implement the peace plan. Abbas also mentioned the PA’s preparedness to take over security and governance in Gaza, while Hamas must disarm, emphasizing the desire for freedom and recognition of Palestine as their homeland.
