Ukraine Warns of Russian Droning Campaign Targeting European Airspace

Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD), under the leadership of Andriy Kovalenko, has issued a warning about Russia’s escalating campaign to target European airspaces using drone technology. The CCD, which is part of the National Security and Defense Council, asserts that Moscow is developing strategies to disrupt air traffic in certain European countries. Kovalenko suggested that Russia may increase its efforts if Europe does not take decisive action to counteract these threats.

The CCD’s statement comes amid heightened tensions between Russia and NATO-aligned nations, with concerns about potential cyber and physical attacks on critical infrastructure. While no specific incidents have been reported yet, the warning highlights the growing use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in modern conflict scenarios. The organization emphasizes the need for heightened vigilance and coordinated efforts among European allies to mitigate the risks posed by such technological advancements.
