Claude Sonnet 4.5 Completes 30-Hour Coding Marathon to Build Slack Clone

Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4.5 model has completed a 30-hour coding marathon to build a Slack-like application, generating approximately 11,000 lines of code. This represents a significant advancement over its predecessor, Opus 4, which completed a 7-hour coding task in May. The new model showcases three times better performance in browser navigation and computer use compared to Anthropic’s October technology. Beta-tester Canva has deployed the model for complex engineering tasks in its codebase and product features, highlighting the practical applications of this AI technology. Anthropic has paired the release with virtual machines, memory management tools, context management, and multi-agent support systems to enable developers to build their own AI agents using the same building blocks that power Claude Code.
