Italian Police Raid Gallery After Discovering Fake Salvador Dalí Artworks
Italian authorities have seized 21 forged Salvador Dalí pieces, including tapestries and drawings, following a police raid at a renowned art and culture center in Parma, Italy. The seizure was prompted by a tip from the artist’s foundation, which reported that some of the Dalí pieces in the gallery’s collection were forgeries. The carabinieri art squad, acting on a judge’s warrant, executed the raid, and the investigation is ongoing, according to The Associated Press.
The Palazzo Tarasconi, which hosted a
